In the past month, I have been shooting photos and de-fitting one of my cafés. It has reached the end of the lease, and it is time for me to say good-bye and say hi to more time-on-my-hands. Recently I started twitting on the Chinese “twitter”.. I still can’t get my head around the #hashtags# and how it really works. But somehow all the fuss about @You @Me @Them…worked for me, and I started to get a following on www.weibo.com . Jesus already had his birthday and resurrection celebrations, and it was Buddha’s turn to celebrate his 2576th Birthday (according to wiki his birthday is circa 563 BC so add 2013 give a rough 2576 years? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gautama_Buddha)
The festival has been held at Southbank for many many years. It is a great multicultural event, and many different people come and enjoy the festivities. A variety of cultural performances and food is on show, and the colourful nature of the event is a great photographic exercise.
I posted on my Weibo about this photography event and the turn out was good! We made new friends with a few fellow Weibo photography enthusiasts. We exchanged ideas, and I gave some tips on how to improve the photos.
