Leonie & Guy : All Hallow’s Chapel & Mirra Wedding

Leonie is a very talented interior designer (for her work, please see Guilty as Designed) , and the owner of Mirra Private Dining & Events– a boutique styled reception venue in Fortitude Valley…And if you’ve ever been to the London Club, or Mirra (both established by Leonie) you’ll see just how amazing this woman is.  Guy is just so down to earth and incredibly charming…these two make an incredible team! So when we were asked to be Leonie & Guy’s wedding photographers & videographers, we were more than over the moon! Leonie & Guy share this awesome love for quirky artwork and vintage glamour. And their wedding was exactly that. .  Anyway, this is going to be a long post..not because of my rambling, but because I couldn’t choose which photos to leave out. I do want to add though, that we had such an amazing time with you both. You can see for yourself just how stunning & quirky Mirra is. Just a word of warning..if your internet is slow, go grab a coffee and then come back..the wait will be worth it I promise!  I will leave you with a quote which I think best sums up Leonie & Guy’s wedding….

“A happy marriage is a long conversation which always seems too short”– Andre Maurois

Special thanks to the following people for your awesome work: Rocky T. Alex C., Brett P., and the New Farm Antique Centre

Nina & Ian: Pre-wedding Video

In February, we spent a day with Nina & Ian at their house baking cupcakes, playing with little Ky and then we had a picnic at Newstead Park (this is also where Ian proposed to Nina!). We were also lucky enough to meet Nina’s mum Muriel who had flown in from the UK to spend some time with them before their wedding. Throughout the day we filmed their pre-wedding video which was played at their wedding reception in Koh Samui, Thailand in early April. Nina & Ian have recently moved over to Brisbane from the UK, and as most of their family and friends have not seen their home in Brisbane, they wanted to showcase a bit of their lifestyle together and how beautiful Brisbane is. And when we played it at their wedding reception, there were tears from every table…it reminded me of why I love my job so much. It’s the people we meet, the stories we hear..and then the stories we share, film and capture. We also filmed Ian & Nina separately, and had a chat to them…the end result is the commentary you see in the video. We are currently working on their wedding day highlight reel and their wedding day photos from Thailand..so stay tuned! 🙂

Tiffany & Clifford Wedding Day Highlight

After a long wait for magazine publications etc…It’s our pleasure to finally be able to share with you Tiffany & Clifford’s wedding day highlight reel from August last year. We had so much fun working with you on your wedding day, as well as at your pre-wedding photo-shoot at Dreamworld earlier this year! 🙂

Jessie & Dan

This is a bit of vintage loving that we shot at 7.30am yesterday… just before the rain poured down. I’m currently even more sleep deprived than usual, because apart from Oli needing to watch the NBA (he’s a massive Jeremy Lin fan..he even has a ‘Linsanity’ Jersey), I stayed up all night to edit these photos- but it was well worth the panda eyes… also check out our behind the scenes footage below!!
